Interstate 70 eastbound over Vail Pass reopened after 7 p.m. Friday after a 4-hour closure due to safety concerns.
The closure began at East Vail, or Exit 180, and was announced at 3:07 p.m. Inclement weather has closed I-70 in multiple locations throughout the day as a spring storm smacks the Colorado High Country with wet, heavy snow.
